This has a Japanese feel for me. The image is beautifully balanced and the colouring against the dark bird is very fine indeed.

Thanks Hans. I can see what you mean about the Japanese touch. Photographed some 4 or 5 years ago, the tree is still visited by a blackbird. I wonder if it's the same one or perhaps one of its children.
