Just occasionally something fleetingly triggers an unexpected thought, notion, feeling or understanding which had previously remained hidden. This picture strives to illustrate this experience by using the effect of one image revealing another and acting as a catalyst to get you thinking on a different plane.
Randomly moved by the wind, the branches and leaves are seen briefly arrested, as they momentarily form and reveal something more.
What a challenge it has been to find a one or two word title that is right for this image! A look at my selection of keywords for this picture will show what a dilemma it had been. But then again, perhaps we should just forget about the words and see the picture�.
From a chance childhood encounter with sunlight sensitive paper, a couple of rubber bands and some old family negatives, my fascination with image creation was kindled. To help fan the flames, art, science and the natural world were subjects that excited me then - and still do today. I guess with that mix of ingredients, it’s not surprising that my future life and livelihood would revolve around the creation and capture of still and moving images. Fundamentally, I am an image fanatic. I love the buzz and challenge of bringing together the technical with the artistic – the tools with the imagination – the physical with the intangible.
